Boundary Dispute
An area of contention where both landowners (and/or their recorded deeds) do not agree with the location of the boundary line.
A boundary dispute may be settled through survey work or may require the parties to use other means (mediation, lawsuit, etc.)
Boundary disputes can arise from discrepancies in deeds, unclear or missing monuments, or inaccurate descriptions handed down verbally from owner to owner.
