Things that make ya go hmm.
Well it’s September and I haven’t posted anything for about two weeks.
I’ve been trying to come up with something to write about but keep coming up with nothing. So, if any of you have a question or an idea of something you want me to discuss, please let me know.
If i own both side of a small named creek in Sumner County TN can I build a bridge over it or put a culvert in it to create an access?
That will depend on how the Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation (TDEC) and the US Army Corp of Engineers (USCOE) classifies the stream. If the stream is under their jurisdiction, TDEC and the USCOE may require you have an Aquatic Resource Alteration Permit (ARAP). You would begin your journey with a call to either the state or local department of environmental conservation.
You can find the information on ARAPs here https://www.tn.gov/environment/permit-permits/water-permits1/aquatic-resource-alteration-permit–arap-.html
